The Eastern Kentucky University Chamber Singers, Concert Choir, University Singers and Wind Ensemble will present “Bernstein at 100,” celebrating the life and legacy of renowned American conductor and composer Leonard Bernstein.
The free concert, on Monday, April 30, at 7:30 p.m. at the EKU Center for the Arts, will include “Chichester Psalms” and a medley from “Candide,” as well as music by Balmages, Brahms, Persichetti and others.
The choirs are under the direction of Dr. Richard Waters, director of choral activities, and graduate conductor Michael B. Welch. The Wind Ensemble is under the direction of Dr. Andrew Putnam, director of bands, guest conductor Dr. Nathan Siler and graduate conductor Patrick Belding.
