The University Diversity Office will host a “brown bag discussion” on Thursday, Oct. 15, from noon to 1 p.m. in the south ballroom of Keen Johnson Building.
The event is designed to celebrate people from different cultures and offer an inside look of their world.
“You never know who the person is until you actually get to know them,” said Dr. Sherwood Thompson, interim chief diversity officer. “Just like a brown bag, it’s always a surprise as to the contents within.”
Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch; chocolates and beverages will be available.
The event is free for all faculty, staff and students.
“Here at Eastern we effectively promote diversity and provide a meaningful learning environment rich in opportunities for individuals to excel,” Thompson said.
