Tickets for Eastern Kentucky University’s production of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” will go on sale Monday, Nov. 9.
Beginning Wednesday, Nov. 18, the show will run 8 p.m. nightly through Saturday, Nov. 21, with a matinee showing Sunday, Nov. 22, at 2 p.m., in Gifford Theatre in the Jane F. Campbell Building.
“A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is Shakespeare’s classic tale of lovers, warring fairies and amateur theatrics. Two interlocking love triangles fleeing the subjugation of Athens and an amateur theatre troupe of handymen rehearsing for their big break become unwilling pawns in a war between the king and queen of Fairyland.
Tickets will be available at the Gifford Theatre Box Office in the Jane F. Campbell Building noon-4 p.m. Monday through Friday and one hour before performances. Tickets are $6 for adults, $5 for students and senior citizens. Only cash or checks payable to EKU can be accepted. Call 859-622-1323 for reservations or visit www.theatre.eku.edufor more information.
