Eastern Kentucky University Theatre will present “Little Shop of Horrors” Feb. 24-28.
The show will begin at 8 p.m. nightly Feb. 24-27, with a matinee on Feb. 28 at 2 p.m. All performances are in Gifford Theatre in the Jane F. Campbell Building.
The popular musical tells the story of Seymour, a hapless misfit who, while working for a florist on Skid Row, discovers a mysterious plant that will deliver all the success and love he craves. He wins the heart of beautiful Audrey and his fortunes soar. But when his pet plant develops insatiable and murderous hungers of its own, Seymour faces a battle of epic proportions.
“Little Shop of Horrors” won the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Musical, the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical, and the Outer Critics Circle Award.
