Dr. Eric Meiners, associate professor of communication studies at Eastern Kentucky University, was appointed by the Kentucky Communication Association (KCA) Executive Council to a three-year term as editor of the Kentucky Journal of Communication.
The KJC is one of only six state journals published in the Southern States Communication Association. Special issues of the journal feature topics ranging from pertinent social issues to the state of communication education in Kentucky. The journal is available at kycommunication.com/journal.html.
Meiners’ research interests include organizational communication and instructional communication. He has recently published in journals such as Qualitative Research Reports in Communication and the Journal of Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
“Given Dr. Meiners’ research record, he will do a fantastic job for our state communication association’s journal,” said Dr. Kathy Previs, KCA president and associate professor of public relations at Eastern.
Previs led KCA this past year and presided over the organization’s annual meeting Sept. 16-17 in Bowling Green.
