Eastern Kentucky University junior William Chaudoin is the recipient of this year’s Kyle J. Thacker Memorial Scholarship.

Chaudoin, of Greensburg, is a triple major in economics, political science and paralegal science with minors in mathematics and business and has maintained a 3.48 GPA. He will graduate in Spring 2017 and plans to pursue a joint graduate degree in economics and law.

Dr. Gyan Pradhan, chair of EKU’s Department of Economics, described Chaudoin as “an excellent student – hard-working, motivated and conscientious. His leadership and contributions in campus and off-campus activities have earned him praise and respect from students and faculty.”

The Thacker Scholarship is awarded to outstanding junior and senior economics majors at EKU. It is given in memory of Kyle J. Thacker, a 2012 economics graduate from Somerset who was killed in an accident in February 2013.
