Department of Communication Senior Lecturer Krista Kimmel was elected to a three-year term as secretary and executive council member of the Kentucky Communication Association during the organization’s 88th annual meeting Sept. 19-21 at Lake Barkley State Resort Park.
Kimmel joined the full-time communication studies faculty at EKU in 2009. She teaches courses in Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, and Introduction to Human Communication and is a member of the Honors faculty. Since 2017, she has served as co-director of the communication studies basic course. She also serves as co-chair elect for the KY ACE Women’s Network. Kimmel holds a BA in public relations and English from Murray State University, an MA in communication from the University of Kentucky, and an MA in adult and higher education from Morehead State University.
Department of Communication Senior Lecturer Abra Akers Endsley continues in the second year of her term as East Regional Representative and executive council member for KCA.
The Kentucky Communication Association (KCA) was established in 1931 for the promotion of effective teaching, research, and practice in the artistic, humanistic, and scientific principles of communication.
