Dr. Pam Parry, interim chair of the Department of Communication at Eastern Kentucky University, has been selected to serve on the Historians Review Board of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum in Abilene, Kansas.
She is one of five scholars across the nation to serve on the board.
Tim Rives, acting director of the library, asked Parry to serve on the board, which will provide advice and consent about displays and exhibits, as well as the corresponding language, for the expansion of the Eisenhower Museum, located on the compound that contains the library.
“We are delighted to have a scholar of Dr. Parry’s caliber on the advisory board,” Rives said. “Her expertise on President Eisenhower’s military and political careers will ensure both historical accuracy and objectivity in our new museum exhibits.”
The author of “Eisenhower: The Public Relations President,” Parry is writing a second book on Eisenhower, titled“Ike and Gender: Changing the Face of Politics.” It is scheduled for release in 2018 by Lexington Books, a subsidiary of Rowman & Littlefield.
