Dr. Pam Parry, associate professor of communication at Eastern Kentucky University, was elected recently to the Board of Directors of the American Journalism Historians Association at the group’s annual meeting in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Parry, a lifetime member of AJHA, is serving as chair of the Association’s Education Committee and previously was a member of the group’s Public Relations Committee. She has been active in the AJHA annual meetings, presenting papers and winning two research awards from the organization in 2009.
She will serve a three-year term.
Parry is the author of “Eisenhower: The Public Relations President,” and addressed the subject earlier this year in a lecture at the Eisenhower Presidential Library, Museum and Boyhood Home in Abilene, Kansas.
