Jason Rainey, assistant director and management consultant for the Kentucky Small Business Development Center at Eastern Kentucky University, has attained the professional Accredited Business Planning Advisor (ABPA) designation.
Rainey attended Accredited-Certified Business Planning Advisor training and passed the required comprehensive credential exam.
This advanced training program is offered nationally by The Apogee Center for business consultants, financial advisors and economic development professionals. Rainey is now part of a group of more than 100 professionals nationwide certified to assist rural and at-risk urban business owners and their communities with the coming wave of business owner retirements.
“We are thrilled to have Jason achieve this certification and to our region through the Small Business Development Center,” said Dr. Thomas Martin, executive director of EKU’s Center for Economic Development, Entrepreneurship and Technology. “This program’s goal is not only to ensure that area business owners maximize opportunities to exit their business at maximum value. It also introduces concepts for the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs.”
