WEKU Director & General Manager Mike Savage has been named one of the 30 best managers in radio by industry publication Radio Ink. This is Savage’s third time on the Best Managers list since 2015 and second honor since Joining WEKU in 2018.
“It’s an incredible honor to be listed by Radio Ink as one of the best managers in the nation,” said Savage. “Behind every good manager is a great team. And I am proud of WEKU staff who work so hard to make the station sound its best.”
Savage has worked in public radio for 25 years and serves on the NPR Board of Directors and the Association of Kentucky Public Radio Stations. He was the only manager of a public radio station to make the list.
