University Singers to Perform for KMEA

The Eastern Kentucky University Singers have been invited to perform at the 2016 Kentucky Music Educators Association state conference. The the group will perform on Friday, Feb. 5, at 4:20 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Assumption in Louisville.

University Singers is the premier choral ensemble at EKU. The 32-voice auditioned choir is under the direction of Dr. Richard Waters, professor of music and director of choral activities. In recent years, EKU choral students have appeared at Carnegie Hall, completed an eight-day tour of Ireland, and have had the opportunity to collaborate with world-renowned musicians such as Jeffery Ames, Ola Gjeilo, Jeffery Redding, Jake Runestad, and Timothy Takach.
