Eastern Kentucky University’s online master of science in nursing degree (MSN) was ranked No. 20 in the country by Fortune. EKU was the only school in Kentucky to be recognized with this distinction. This is the first year Fortune has ranked online MSN programs.
Fortune’s rankings are based upon three components of scoring: selectivity, success and demand. Selectivity takes into consideration the academic strength of cohorts admitted to the program; success measures both one-year retention rates and graduation rates; and demand reflects the total size of the program’s most recent graduating class.
The scoring components demonstrate a record of successful student outcomes, top-notch curriculum and world-class professors.
“I’m pleased our MSN program has been recognized by Fortune as one of the top programs in the country,” said Dr. Brooke Bentley, chair, EKU School of Nursing. “This recognition is well deserved by the faculty, facilitators, advisors and staff. We pride ourselves in delivering high touch, fully online programs that maintain quality and promote a sense of student connectedness with faculty, peers and the university.”
EKU’s CCNE-accredited online MSN program provides a flexible path for working RNs to advance their career as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Students benefit from a highly interactive and supportive learning environment.
