Kenzie Dalton, a 2020 Powell County High School graduate, has received a $2,000 scholarship presented by Peoples Bank of Madison and Rockcastle Counties.  Kenzie received the scholarship as a high school student enrolled in the Eastern Kentucky University Upward Bound program, which serves first-generation college students.

Dalton, who successfully completed four years of Upward Bound, will attend Eastern Kentucky University this fall with plans of majoring in Occupational Therapy.

“Kenzie did a beautiful job on her application, and through her leadership and commitment to her education, she was able to show us a glimpse into her future.  We are proud to commit this scholarship to someone so determined to make their education a top priority,” said Melinda Carter, Peoples Bank of Madison County, who presented the scholarship.
