Eastern Kentucky University is offering special assistance to St. Catharine College students looking to continue their education.
Any student enrolled to attend St. Catharine College is eligible for an application fee waiver. To receive the waiver code, students should visit https://go.eku.edu/scc-apply. In addition to providing a free application, EKU has extended scholarship deadlines to July 1, 2016 for St. Catharine students. Available scholarships range from $500 to $14,000 a year.
EKU is also hosting an open house event Wednesday, June 22, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Springfield Woman's Club Building at 201 Lincoln Park Road. EKU will have representatives from admissions, the transfer center, financial aid/scholarships and academic departments on hand to answer questions and help students with the admission process.
“EKU has long been known as a ‘School of Opportunity,’ and it is our mission to open doors to higher education no matter what path leads you here,” said EKU Executive Director for Enrollment Management Brett Morris. “We have a number of programs that align with some of the most popular majors at St. Catharine College to make this a smooth transition for students. EKU’s small class sizes, personal attention from faculty and small college atmosphere, with all the benefits of a state university, could offer a great fit for students from St. Catharine. We want to extend any assistance we can to allow these students to complete their degrees without interruption.”
Students with additional questions about transferring to EKU should contact the Student Outreach and Transition Office (SOTO) at 859-622-7686 or ekusoto@eku.edu.
Incoming freshmen should start with the Office of Admissions and call 859-622-2106 or email admissions@eku.edu.
